WHAT IS THE PRACTICE OF SYSTEMS AWARENESS?
Systems Awareness is the practice of observing, understanding, and working with the patterns, relationships, and feedback loops that shape a situation.
Where systems thinking focuses on mapping and analyzing the system from the outside, systems awareness asks us:
How do your perspectives, assumptions, and actions influence what you see?
How does the system, in turn, shape our thinking, choices, and actions?
It involves:
Zooming out to see the whole system and its context
Spotting connections between elements that may seem unrelated
Recognizing leverage points where small shifts can create big change
Balancing perspectives from data, lived experience, and intuition
By including yourself, your team and your stakeholders in the picture, systems awareness makes strategy more grounded, adaptive, and humane, enabling us to take wiser action.
WHO IS THE WISDOM COUNCIL?
Think of it as your dream roundtable: a small, hand-picked mix of brilliant humans who see the world differently from you (and from each other).
They’re systems-savvy leaders, innovators, and connectors from our Reimagined Value Collective and wider network—people who’ve navigated healthcare reform, led social movements, launched bold businesses, shifted policy, and built coalitions across divides.
They bring sharp minds, generous hearts, and the rare ability to ask the question you didn’t know you needed.
No egos. No jargon. Just the kind of conversation that changes everything.
The Reimagined Value Collective came together with a shared conviction: the systems shaping our lives (economic, political, technological) too often measure what’s easy instead of what truly matters.
They reward speed, scale, and short-term wins while undervaluing care, community, meaning, and the long-term health of people and planet.
Everyday we hear that leaders are navigating complexity without the spaces, relationships, or perspectives they need to make truly wise decisions. They are surrounded by data, frameworks, and urgency. At the same time they find themselves starved for reflection, trusted dialogue, and the courage to see their own role in the system.
The Bounce was born as our response. It’s a living expression of our purpose:
To reimagine value beyond the purely transactional
To center ourselves around human dignity, ecological stewardship, and relational depth
To weave systemic insight with embodied practice and diverse lived experiences
By combining Systems Awareness Coaching with Wisdom Councils and Strategy Fishbowls, The Bounce creates a brave, generative space where leaders (their teams and stakeholders) can step out of the usual echo chamber, see the whole system, including themselves, and step into a space where they can collectively experience a sharper vision, deeper grounding, and bolder possibilities.
We offer it because we know transformation doesn’t come from more noise. It comes from the right conversation, at the right moment, with the right people. That’s when strategy stops being a plan on paper and starts becoming a force for positive change.
